ironman2-headline5.jpgIs “Iron Man 2″ even going to shoot in a studio?  It seems like every day I’m hearing a report of “Iron Man 2 is filming on my street!”  “Iron Man 2 is filming in my backyard!”  “Iron Man 2 is filming in my kitchen!”  Enough, Favreau!  Get thee to a soundstage!

Today, we received news that “Iron Man 2″ was filming over at Edwards Air Force Base with sixty members of “Team Edwards” providing support both as technical advisors and as extras.  Of course, we have no idea what they filmed during the two days they were there but judging from the photos they took, Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. had a great time and were nothing but friendly and overjoyed.  That’s a relief because if there were photos of those guys punching our troops in the face, it would really mire the project in controversy.

Check out the photos after the jump.  “Iron Man 2″ hits theatrs on May 7, 2010.
