Good news everybody! An inside source has revealed exclusively to Collider that “Futurama” has been given a 13 episode order by Comedy Central. Though still technically a rumor at this point, word is that “Futurama” production offices have already opened and that casting is about to move forward.
This should be a welcome surprise to fans of the show who have already gone through the series’ cancellation and resurrection as direct-to-DVD movies.
Look for official word in the very near future. Though animation has a big lead time, I would guess on some kind of “Futurama” presence at Comic Con next month.

Loved watching this show on Adult Swim more for some reason though but thats just a minor quirk. So happy that this great show will once again rise from its graceful death (although its been living quite vibrantly in re-runs).

For the love of God let this be true! I didn't get into Futurama when it first came out, but I've been watching it since and plan to get the DVDs I'm missing when I can afford it. I would LOVE to see the series make a comeback as regular episodes again. Please oh please oh please!

After spending the last week watching the 4 movies over and over with my son and other half, and spending 45 minutes last night trying to figure out what to watch, only able to think "Needs more new Futurama," this is possibly the greatest news ever, or at least the greatest coincidental news ever. And they say the Space Pope doesn't answer prayers!
I really hope this is true. Jurassic Bark and Luck of the Fryish are probably the only two episodes of an animated show that have made me misty-eyed. What a great show.

Finally!!! I was a huge fan of this show back in the year 2000 when Fry fell into the time machine and… wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. Its a damn good show tho, and about time someone finally brought it back! I'll never understand why it lasted as briefly as it did, but junk like the Simpsons won't die even tho it hasn't been funny in years.
Just let it die. The movies sucked and were mostly unfunny. I have no hopes that a new season would be any better.
