So I guess this whole “John Carter of Mars” movie may actually be happening. With Pixar director Andrew Stanton helming his first live-action movie, yesterday we reported that Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins were coming on board and today Jeffrey Lyons interview on Reel Talk with Thomas Haden Church reveals that the talented actor is also coming on board. He doesn’t elaborate what role he’d be playing (we know Kitsch is playing Carter and Collins is playing Dejah Thoris, heir to the Helium Kingdom) but knowing that Church is on board makes me even more excited for this flick.

No, *I* caught this… I watch Reel Talk every Saturday and saw Thomas Haden Church on it saying he was in the movie. /Film saw the story on ComingSoon and they credited us… just like you saw that Wanted 2 story on CS and didn't credit us. This thievery has to stop.

Let's talk about the movie, okay? I can't even imagine how they're going to approach this film. There's a reason it hasn't been made yet, so I hope they're real careful and get this thing right. I love stories about Mars - just finished reading the really fun online graphic novel Pyramids of Mars, of which I am now a major fan - and can't wait to go to my local theatre and see Mr. Carter kick some ass!!
