SUPERMAN Comes to the Buy More with Kristen Kruek and Brandon Routh as New Love Interests on CHUCK

Why stay in Smallville or Metropolis when you could come to sunny Burbank, California and hang out at the local Buy More or possibly a new Subway franchise? “Why?” indeed because Kristen Kruek (a.k.a. Lana Lang) and Brandon Routh (a.k.a. Clark Kent/Superman/Kal-El/Man of Steel) are heading out West for guest roles on NBC’s “Chuck”.  Hit the jump to find out how they’re going to make sure Charles Bartowski (Zachary Levi) and “Sarah Walker” (Yvonne Strahovski) never get together.

Less than a week after reporting that Brandon Routh is on board to play a mysterious new spy (in the world of “Chuck”, “mysterious” is usually code for “Fulcrum agent”) who is Chuck’s new mentor and Sarah’s love interest. Now EW’s Michael Ausiello says not to worry because Mr. Bartowski won’t be all on his lonesome. Kristen Kruek is set to play Hannah, a girl Chuck meets on a flight to Paris. “Chuck and Hannah definitely have feelings for each other,” says an insider (in the world of “Chuck”, “girl Chuck meets” is usually code for “Fulcrum agent”).

While I would like to see a serious relationship between Chuck and Sarah because I find the whole “Moonlighting” fear so tiresome in every show that succumbs to it, I can deal live with that problem (also, where’s the love for John Casey?).  What I can’t deal with is the new season of “Chuck” not premiering until March.  MARCH.  For those keeping score, that’s seven months away.  C’mon, NBC.  Do we really need that hour of Leno every night?  No.  No we do not.  But we do need “Chuck” back.  We love that you renewed it, but we’re impatient.  Basically, us “Chuck” fans will never be happy.
