Watch The First Clip From SPLICE Starring Sarah Polley and Adrien Brody

I want “Splice” to be good.  It’s a sci-fi/horror/monster movie, it’s produced by Guillermo del Toro, it’s directed by Vincenzo Natali (”Cube”), and it stars two awesome actors in the lead roles (Sarah Polley and Adrien Brody).  I don’t see how this movie can fail.  Anyway, the first clip has been released and it’s after the jump -  along with an introduction by del Toro and Natali.

To those that are just finding out about “Splice” right now,  here is the film’s plot synopsis:

“Elsa and Clive, two young rebellious scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named “Dren”, the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators - only to have that bond turn deadly.”
