Okay, so, everybody who loved the Mel Gibson vehicle, “What Women Want” raise your hand. Well too bad, you’re getting a sequel/spinoff thing anyway. That’s right, “What Boys Want” is coming our way, a comedy starring 17-year-old Disney starlet, Selena Gomez as a teenage girl who develops the ability to read the minds of men. Sounds, hilarious, I know. Hit the jump for more.

The news comes from Variety that the film is part of a production deal Gomez made with XYZ Films when she formed her production company, July Moon Productions. Now, despite the fact that I write for an internet blog, I’m not the type of guy to follow Disney channel shows and countdown till the 18th birthday of Hannah Montana, so I don’t really know much about this girl other than her Disney show is called “The Wizards of Waverly Place”, and she sings, just like EVERYBODY who is on a show on the Disney channel. I don’t know, I’m clearly not the audience for this, and I’m sure tween girls and lonely guys in their 30’s will love it.

You really couldn’t do this movie accurately unless it was R-rated.

A couple of my kids like this girl and her “wizard” show. I can’t stand it and think she is an annoying, even ugly girl with very little talent. I hope she fades away with all the Disney tween stars.

Dave Chappelle beat them to it.

selena has limited talent but this movie sounds crappy already. miley is disney’s golden girl, selena is miley’s little apprentice except that she is already too old to try to be the next miley
