I just added artist Justin Van Gendersen’s Flickr page to my RSS because his work is amazing.  Super Punch led me to some of Gendersen’s amazing movie-related art; specifically, minimalist travel posters for the planets of Star Wars.  Unfortunately, these posters do not inform you of the wampas on Hoth, the humidity on Dagobah, or the creepiness of the Ewoks on Endor.

Check out all of the posters after the jump and click here for Gendersen’s official website.

Click on a poster if you want to see a larger version of it.

These are pretty good. The Bespin and Tatooine ones are nice, and the Hoth one is pretty good too. Not the best, but still pretty decent and I would definitely not mind having one on my wall.

I quite like the Tatooine, Hoth & Besbin ones.
Endor is a bit too minimalistic and doesnt really convey what planet it is from the image, same for Dagobah.

If Endor had a death star above it maybe,
And Dagobah, maybe a lil X heading towards it as in Lukes XWing?

I like the simplistic style, but also the retro style would cool to see as avatar said...

Hoth was cool. Bespin was alright. The others... not so great. I'd prefer to see them do a retro Star Wars poster, or something...
