Steve is on the Warner Bros. red carpet at ShoWest and snapped a photo of the banner for Zack Snyder’s upcoming animated movie Legends of the Guardians, except it doesn’t look like that’s the full title anymore.  Now it looks like it’s Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole.  When the project was first announced, the title was The Guardians of Ga’Hoole.  The added subtitle makes me think that maybe there’s a franchise consideration, but it could also just be that people like owls and silly names.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole:

“The film follows Soren, a young owl enthralled by his father’s epic stories of the Guardians of Ga’Hoole, a mythic band of winged warriors who had fought a great battle to save all of owlkind from the evil Pure Ones. While Soren dreams of someday joining his heroes, his older brother, Kludd, scoffs at the notion, and yearns to hunt, fly and steal his father’s favor from his younger sibling. But Kludd’s jealousy has terrible consequences-causing both owlets to fall from their treetop home and right into the talons of the Pure Ones. Now it is up to Soren to make a daring escape with the help of other brave young owls. Together they soar across the sea and through the mist to find the Great Tree, home of the legendary Guardians of Ga’Hoole-Soren’s only hope of defeating the Pure Ones and saving the owl kingdoms.”

thats not how the story went! Kludd PUSHED Soren out of the nest and HE gets captured by St. Aggies for orphaned owls NOT the pure ones.

Please! The last bit of that title can read like "GAY HOLE". It won't stick!

I preferred Guardians of Ga'Hoole, it was simple and didn't unnecessarily overcomplicate the title. That and no one will say the full title.
