On Tuesday night in Los Angeles, Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier hosted the opening of an art show that every geek and fanboy should see. The reason is that every piece in the gallery had to be based on pop-cult films. So rather than seeing art that was based on weird or random subjects… the pieces in the show focused on Shawn Of The Dead, Reservoir Dogs, the Kevin Smith movies, Donnie Darko and a ton of other cult classics.

Since I had heard it was going to be worth my time to check out…I drove down with camera in hand. I actually had heard that Edgar Wright and Rickard Kelly were going to be there and hoped to land an interview… but that part of the night didn’t happen. Instead I socialized with friends and took a few pictures from the event.

As you can see from the pictures, there is a ton of great stuff in the gallery. And while I couldn’t take pictures of everything due to how crowded it was, I think you can see it’s worth checking out. So if you want to know more about the gallery go here.

And if you live in Los Angeles and want to check it out…the gallery is on Melrose right next to the new Golden Apple store. The address is 7020 Melrose and it’s free to get in. It’s seriously worth you time…
