In February, Scott and Frosty visited yet another Paul Thomas set – do these guys live on Paul Thomas sets or what?! The movie they were covering is called Magazine, and it will no doubt be just as great as all Vivid features. Among the cast are porn veteran Tom Byron and the sexy yet quick-witted Penny Flame. I wish I could have been there to see these two go at it.
While I was uploading the mp3 for the Penny Flame interview, I had the chance to speak with Scott about what it was like to interview this actress.
GILBERT: What was Penny like?
SCOTT: She’s very cool. She’s smart, she’s funny, and she looks great. I mean, come on... what more do you want?
How do you think the interview went?
I honestly think it’s the most relaxed interview I’ve done yet for Collider/Vivid. It’s Penny’s outgoing personality that really makes the interview work. She’s something else.
Have you watched any of Penny's movies?
No, not yet. I’ve seen a couple provocative pictures on the internet, but that’s all.
What was your favorite part of the interview?
Actually there are two clips very dear to my heart. The first one is in Part 1 at around 7:20 thru 7:35, when Penny ecstatically proclaims this is her first leading role in a Vivid feature... it must be heard to be believed. I might actually sample it and make her my ringtone, it’s that good. The other clip I’m very fond of is in Part 2 at around 2:45 thru 3:00, when I put forth the possibility that the movie Crash could win Best Picture over Brokeback Mountain. Frosty’s very dismissive and says I’m out of my mind. Clearly he had no idea what he was talking about. The whole interview is a lot of fun and Penny is interesting every second of it.
