Frosty here. In the coming months I have a few surprises in store for the readers of Collider. Let’s just say we have some new blood about to start writing for the site and we might be covering a bit more than what we currently do. Will it all work out? Perhaps not all of it.... but we will definitely be expanding our horizons. Look for some great new writers really soon, but as an example of some of our future plans…. here’s Mike.

Last week I attended the grand opening of the new Hard Rock Café at Boston’s Faneuil Hall. Aaron Lewis of Staind was the featured entertainment for this V.I.P. invitation-only party, with a wacky and eclectic group of musicians/celebrities in attendance, including Joey Kramer and Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith, Gary Cherone and Pat Badger of Extreme, Scott Ian of Anthrax, The Click Five, Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, Barry Goodreau of Boston, and drummer Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden.
I had an opportunity to chat with Gary and Pat from Extreme for a few minutes, and not only has Extreme written a special song to contribute to the Brad Delp tribute concert this coming weekend in Boston (Extreme is performing), but apparently Gary and Nuno Bettencourt have been writing together all year (perhaps preparing for a new Extreme album?) This would be fantastic news for longtime fans of the band. Stay tuned!
Donal Logue (Grounded for Life) did a solid job hosting the evening, and there was plenty of food, drink and entertainment to keep everyone happy.

The new Hard Rock Cafe Boston officially opened its new location at 22 - 24 Clinton Street in the historic Faneuil Hall area on July 2, 2007. The new location highlights memorabilia from Hard Rock's world-famous collection, including items from Boston natives, such as Aerosmith, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Dropkick Murphys and of course, Boston.
