Once again I have let over a week go by without updating the new DVD cover art from Warner Bros. and it has piled up pretty high. You’d think with the holidays on it wouldn’t be so bad…

Anyway, this update has a lot of good stuff like The Departed, The Science of Sleep and tons of animation and classic DVD’s making their first appearance on the format. All the info is provided by Warner Bros. and almost every cover can be clicked on for a hi-res version. I have a bunch more stuff to post from Sony and Universal and I hope to have those up tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a great holiday season.

The Departed DVD
Street Date: 2/13/07
MSRP: $28.98

Synopsis:
Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson and Mark Wahlberg star in Martin Scorsese's new crime drama "The Departed." "The Departed" is set in South Boston where the state police force is waging an all-out war to take down the city's top organized crime ring. The key is to end the reign of powerful mob boss Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) from the inside. A young rookie, Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) is assigned to infiltrate Costello's mob. While Billy is working to gain Costello's trust, another young cop, Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) is among a handful of elite officers whose mission is to bring Costello down. But what his superiors don't know is that Colin is working for Costello, keeping the crime boss one step ahead of the police. Each man becomes deeply consumed by his double life, gathering information about the plans and counter-plans of the operation he has penetrated. But when it becomes clear to both the gangsters and the police that they have a mole in their midst, Billy and Colin find themselves in constant danger of being caught-and each must race to uncover the identity of the other man in time to save himself.
Director: Martin Scorsese
Actors: Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Matt Damon, Ray Winstone, Vera Farmiga, Anthony Anderson, Leonardo Dicaprio

The Science of Sleep DVD
Street Date: 2/6/07
MSRP: $27.95

Synopsis:
The Science of Sleep, a playful romantic fantasy set inside the topsy-turvy brain of Stephane Miroux (Gael Garcia Bernal) an eccentric young man whose dreams constantly invade his waking life. Stephane pines for next-door neighbor, Stephanie (Charlotte Gainsbourg), but she becomes confused by his childishness and shaky connection to reality. Unable to find the secret to Stephanie's heart while awake, Stephane searches for the answer in his dreams.
Director: Michel Gondry

The State Within DVD
Street Date: 2/27/07
MSRP: $29.98

Synopsis:
Can you believe what your superiors tell you -- even if you are the British Ambassador to America? In this high octane, action-packed conspiracy thriller, a terrifying plot is played out along the dark corridors of power. When a flight explodes in mid-air over Washington D.C., the British Embassy finds itself enveloped in a diplomatic catastrophe. What happens next is a cat's cradle of tangled affinities and conflicting interests told through interlinking stories that unfold as British Ambassador Mark Brydon slowly realizes that he is being played by an invisible puppeteer with great power.

The Dukes of Hazzard: Beginning DVD
Street Date: 3/20/07
MSRP: $27.99

Synopsis:
When mischievous teenaged cousins Bo Duke (Jonathan Bennett, Mean Girls) and Luke Duke (Randy Wayne, ABC's Sons and Daughters) are arrested, both boys are paroled to the care of their Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson) in Hazzard, sentenced to a summer of hard work. It's not long before the Duke boys learn of Boss Hogg's (Chris McDonald) plans to foreclose on Uncle Jesse's farm. Together, with help from their frumpy cousin Daisy (April Scott), Bo and Luke vow to save the family's property and its storied history of producing the best moonshine in all of Hazzard. Driving through Hazzard in the "General Lee" blasting its famed Dixie horn, the Duke boys join forces to make Boss Hogg's life miserable, concocting one crazy scheme after another.

The Venture Bros.: Season Two DVD

Street Date: 4/17/07
MSRP: $29.98

Synopsis:

An inspired spoof of 1960s action cartoons such as "Johnny Quest," The Venture Bros., follows the bizarre mis-adventures of Hank and Dean who believe themselves to be an unusually gifted team of "brains" and "braun" while actually possessing very little of either. The boys travel the world with their renowned scientist-father, Doctor Venture -- and treat even the most mundane situation as a bold new adventure. As a result, they often find themselves in danger with a host of oddball villains -- but rarely find their way out. The rely instead on their body-guard/undercover government agent Brock Sampson, voiced by Patrick Warburton of "The Tick" and "Seinfeld" fame, to save them.

Original Broadcast Date: 6/25/06 to 10/15/06

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (Unrated) DVD
Street Date: 1/16/07
MSRP: $28.98

Synopsis:
The only thing more shocking than how it ended is how it all began! Born under unspeakable circumstances, a young orphan is taken in by the sick and demented Hewitt family and soon the seeds of a deranged murderer are planted. When two brothers and their girlfriends stumble across the house of horrors. Leatherface reveals his ravenous appetite for chainsaws and torture as the teens fight to survive.
