I’ve broken up this update into two parts – the first is new TV shows on DVD and the second is for the movies.

Below is the cover art on the new TV on DVD from Warner Bros. The one I’m most excited about is the top one – ChiPs. I used to love that show as a kid as they would show repeats on the local channels where I grew up. This might the first 70’s show to hit DVD that I may watch from beginning to end. Then again, after a few episodes of Poncherello I may need to take a bath to wash off that 70’s grease…

Most images can be clicked on for a hi-res version, look for more cover art later tonight and/or this weekend.

His fight against a corrupt government and greedy officials is something we all can connect with. Fun, modern and intelligent, the BBC's Robin Hood is guaranteed to appeal to today's sophisticated viewers and is set to be as popular as the new Doctor Who. The Closer - The Complete Second Season DVD

Street Date: 5/29/07
MSRP: $39.98

An offbeat personality, a tough-as-nails approach and a track record as one of the country's leading investigators--these are just a few of the trails exhibited by television's next great detective, Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, played by three-time Golde Globe Award nominee Kyra Sedgewick in "The Closer". In her first lead role in a dramatic series, Sedgwick plays a tough CIA-trained detective, with Southern charm, who has been brought from Atlanta to Los Angeles to head up the Priority Murder Squad, a special unit of the LAPD that handles sensitive, hogh-profile murder cases. "The Closer" is executive produced by the team behind "Nip/Tuck."

Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs! The adventures or misadventures of the Warner Brothers, Yakko and Wakko, and the Warner Sister, Dot, who were so crazy that the studio execs locked them away in the water town at the Studio. The witty, slapstick humor with pop culture parodies and cartoon wackiness is on DVD for the first time ever with 25 fantastic Animaniacs episodes.
