Michael Clarke Duncan Breaks Lizards

With TALLADEGA NIGHTS, Michael Clarke Duncan reminded us all that not only was he imposing and rocked a voice that really took advantage of your sub woofer, but that he was one funny motherfucker. And while the guy seems like a natural to play a heavyweight boxing champion, he's never played one before. So leave it to the brilliant comedy quintet of Broken Lizard to take advantage of both qualities and cast Duncan in their upcoming film THE SLAMMIN' SALMON.
Set in Miami, Duncan plays Cleon "Slammin'" Salmon, a brutal former boxing champ. Cleon runs a restaurant and decides to have a friendly competition among his waiters. Whichever waiter earns the most in one night gets $10,000. Oh, and the loser gets the shit beaten out of him by a guy built like Michael Clarke Duncan.
What's great about SALMON is that the strike has forced the Broken Lizard team to go back to their indie origins. We'll also get to see Kevin Heffernan make his directorial debut on the film (all the previous BL films were directed by Jay Chandrasekhar.
I know some people may not really care about this news, but those people are assholes because the Broken Lizard films are great. BEERFEST may be their mainstream success (not in terms of box office, but in terms of broad appeal), but SUPER TROOPERS is a film that I find funnier and funnier with each viewing.
