Reynolds to swim in WOLVERINE's Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds is one of the more courageous and talented actors working today. While I do think his latest film, "Definitely, Maybe" is utter crap, he's still quite good and there's not enough charm in the world to say that flick. I'm more impressed by his work in films like "The Nines" or as part of an ensemble in "Smokin' Aces" when the guy has movie-star good-looks and charisma to spare and instead he eschews the mainstream for roles in more interesting movies.
So who wants to stick him inside a mask and have him play the dull anti-hero Deadpool in the upcoming flick, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"?
AICN is reporting that Reynolds will play Deadpool and I think that's a sad waste of talent that sounds more like unimaginative fan-casting than par for a film that's made some interesting choices thus far with the casting of Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed/Sabretooth and Danny Huston as a young William Stryker. The casting of Reynolds seems like a five-second brainstorm by the mentally retarded: we need a buff guy who does wisecracking...I know!
Wish Reynolds would play The Flash instead of fucking Deadpool here:
