Kinski Out, Kruger In For INGLORIOUS BASTARDS

The ever-evolving cast of actors that Quentin Tarantino has been assembling for "Inglorious Bastards" just evolved a bit further.
The Hollywood Reporter has printed that the plum role of a movie-queen who plots against the Nazis has been claimed by "National Treasure" star Diane Kruger and not – as initially reported - by Natassja Kinski.
No news on why Kinski is out – unlike fellow "Bastard" would-have-been Simon Pegg, I have trouble believing that Kinski's schedule was just too packed to squeeze in a part in a Tarantino pic, but who knows? I was rooting for the older, but still gorgeous Kinski, although Diane Kruger will certainly make an attractive addition to the cast… this is the woman who portrayed Helen of Troy, after all. Personally, I've never been blown away by Kruger's acting ability - but that might be because I have been distracted by her flawless beauty in the past.
While the actress story line now has its lead, the film's parallel plot about a band of Nazi hunters has also gotten a new recruit. German actor Til Schweiger has enlisted to play yet another one of Brad Pitt's underlings. Schweiger is not a familiar name in the US but I'll bet you'll recognize him once you see him. He is best known for playing Sean in "Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life" but to me he will always be Mark, the wealthy head-case from "SLC Punk!"
Kruger and Schweiger join an already eclectic cast that includes horror director Eli Roth and some-time comedian Mike Myers.
