A second trailer for Oliver Stone's controversial George Bush biopic "W." is playing on MySpace's Trailer Park page and I must say -- this movie is growing on me. With the Executive Branch's latest total pig fuck – you may know it as the collapse of the global banking industry – I find myself more inclined to send our 43rd president out with a cinematic titty-twister from Stone. My softening may also have something to do with the fact that this trailer is set to the Talking Heads song "Once in a Lifetime" instead of George Thorogood… I am an elitist liberal, after all.
Aside from featuring a change in soundtracks (Incidentally, "Stop Making Sense" would have also worked nicely), the second trailer features more of Bush's later years as opposed to the youthful indiscretions and parental knock-outs of trailer number one. It also features a lot more of Stone's supporting cast including "Poppy Bush" and "Rummy" as well as some very funny turns by Elizabeth Banks as the supposedly unfunny Laura Bush.
"W." probably won't sway any undecided voters, and it definitely won't be fair and balanced, but I'm willing to concede that it may be fun… and at this point some fun at George Bush's expense would be very welcome.
"W." is due out on October 17.
Collider video or audio content ... very cool stuff
