Another Trailer For THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON

Though audiences were underwhelmed by the 20 minutes of footage that recently screened in Telluride, the two trailers I have seen for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" look pretty fantastic – of course, that is the whole point of a trailer so who knows how the finished film will shake out.
Adapted from a Fitzgerald story by Eric Roth ("Forrest Gump") and directed by David Fincher ("Fight Club"), "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" certainly isn't lacking in creativity. The film stars Brad Pitt as a man who is aging backward - from a hideously aged-looking baby to the strapping young man we all know as Pitt. The special effects that reverse-age the actor continue to impress, but they will be secondary if Fincher and Roth can not draw us in with an interesting story.
I am willing to give "Benjamin" the benefit of the doubt here - the footage looks beautiful and the actors involved are all at the top of their respective games. Besides, what else am I going to do on Christmas Day? See "Valkyrie?"
