The thinking man's sci-fi's return?
I love Sam Rockwell. It's great that his name is really starting to squeak out of the b-list and he's being given more showcase rolls. To that effect, these trailers look outstanding. So entrenched in reality (the exteriors/ Moon/ Etc.) The only comment i have is what was brought up in the original post above. The Hal angle, and the choice of a similar voice treatment in Kevin Spacey? It seems, for such an original LOOKING piece, to be one of those pre-release, "I've got a bad feeling about this" bracing-wince worthy aspects that I know may very well suck according to my gut, but that I'll have to give the benefit of the doubt for. For me, if I were writing this screenplay (of which I do as one of many little side projects), this would be one of those obstacles/vehicles I would be red-flagging to myself in an effort to avoid, and think more outside the box on before shopping it. Ah well, we'll see. Travis Cowsill
