I saw a screening in DC last night and almost everyone (save for a few retards) were floored at how bad this shit party of a movie turned out to be.
I'd like to say there's no reason I'd go out of my way to bag on a movie that I saw early unless there was a good reason. This movie sucked so hard it was cringe worthy.

Ben Stiller directed this travesty. RDJ is wasted on so many levels its amazing. Jack Black could possibly have reached his lowest point (or maybe his 2nd lowest point) as an actor yet via a fake wig + stupid gay jokes. Nick Nolte is an amazing excuse for stupidity in this film.
okay quick summary of the film before I trash the rest.
Nick Nolte is the author of a book, Tropic Thunder, and its a "true story" of about a group of Us soldiers rescuing a POW during the vietnam war. The movie begins with RDJ and Stiller arguing over a scene in that veign. Shit happens and the whole scene is ruined at the expense of a huge $4 million dollar pyro explosion scene. It's reported on one of those hollywood bullshit shows and then the movie cuts to Matthey McConahey, who's Stiller's agent in the film, arguing about TiVo (which becomes a recuring theme for the rest of the film, it sucked) and stupid shit. Then Tom Cruise, who's playing the studio exec who greenlit the film and is wearing a bald cap and stupid makeup, gets all angry and chews out the director.
long and short. the stupid stars get dropped in the jungle and the director steps on a mine and blows up. Then blah, blah, fucking blah.
DONT SEE THIS MOVIE. I was embarrased that I was even in the theatre. I would have left but I had invited 2 friends and didn't want to walk out. But I should have because they have been bagging on me since we saw this shit party and I'm almost sure I can't live this down.
I know that we all have persona's on the internet and user names on ctg and everything but I will say with out hesitation (if it saves someone the price of a ticket)
