Just a few hours ago I was standing on the red carpet at the “Friday the 13^th” premiere. As most of you know, the remake of “Friday” is hitting theaters this weekend and the premiere was at the famous Chinese Theater in Hollywood. I managed to see the film last week and thought it was well done and definitely worth seeing.

Anyway, the remake was made by Platinum Dunes and New Line Cinema, and the two guys that run Platinum are Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. As some of you know, another project they’re attached to is the remake of “Nightmare on Elm Street”.

While rumors have been online about when that movie might get made, on tonight’s red carpet they told me “Nightmare” is definitely their next project and we will hear casting and other info in the next month.

But it gets better for fans of “Nightmare”.

They said we can expect the movie to be in theaters early next year and the remake is going to focus on the first “Nightmare on Elm Street” movie. Here’s what they had to say:
