ENTERTAINMENT INTERVIEWS
Patton Oswalt, Brad Garrett, Janeane Garofalo, Lou Romano and producer Brad Lewis Interviewed

As I said when I posted the “Ratatouille” movie clips last week, I think the new Brad Bird film is a work of genius and it’s something that absolutely has to be seen to be believed. Once again the brilliant workers at Pixar have raised the bar to new heights and I walked out of the theater in a daze.

I could go on and on and describe all the little nuisances that floored me as I watched, but I hate when people spoil movies so I won’t do it here. All I can suggest is going to see it this weekend when the movie opens and try to see it on a digital screen. I swear you won’t regret it.

In a few minutes I’ll be posting my roundtable interview with Brad Bird – the writer and director – but since I want to help promote this film as much as I can… here are the other interviews I participated in.

While I usually only post the interviews that I’ve also transcribed, I’m out of time on this and won’t be able to get it done. And the worst part is all the interviews below are solid, with Patton and Janeane really worth listening to. Trust me…listen to Janeane.

So if you’re a Pixar nut like me and like to learn as much as you can about their future projects… you’ll dig the interviews with producer Brad Lewis and Lou Romano as I got them to talk a bit about "Wall-E" and "Up" – the next two Pixar movies.

If you’d like to listen to any of the interviews just click on their name and you can download the MP3. You might think about getting some for a long car ride or just to have for a rainy day. And check back in a few for the Brad Bird interview.

And here is the synopsis…in case you don’t know anything about the movie.

Academy Award-winning director Brad Bird (“The Incredibles”) and the amazing storytellers at Pixar Animation Studios (“Cars,” “Finding Nemo”) take you into an entirely new and original world where the unthinkable combination of a rat and a 5-star gourmet restaurant come together for the ultimate fish-out-of-water tale.

In the hilarious new animated-adventure, RATATOUILLE, a rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great chef despite his family’s wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession.  When fate places Remy in the city of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau.  Despite the apparent dangers of being an unwanted visitor in the kitchen at one of Paris’ most exclusive restaurants, Remy forms an unlikely partnership with Linguini, the garbage boy, who inadvertently discovers Remy’s amazing talents. They strike a deal, ultimately setting into motion a hilarious and exciting chain of extraordinary events that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down.

Remy finds himself torn between following his dreams or returning forever to his previous existence as a rat.  He learns the truth about friendship, family and having no choice but to be who he really is, a rat who wants to be a chef.

Patton Oswalt / “Remy”

Janeane Garofalo / “Colette”

Brad Garrett / “Gusteau”

Brad Lewis / Producer

Lou Romano / “Linguini”
