In case you didn’t know, I just got back from Las Vegas where I attended ShoWest. While the convention was a lot of fun and I got to see great footage from a lot of upcoming movies, one of the highlights was the Warner Bros. red carpet yesterday afternoon.

While I hate doing red carpet’s as it’s pure insanity trying to land anyone to interview, yesterday turned out a lot better than I expected.  Not only did I get to interview George Lucas (look for it soon), but I got to ask super producer Joel Silver a few questions about his upcoming slate of films.

As most of you know, Joel always works with the Wachowski Brothers. Since they never do any publicity, he’s always the one you need to go to for any future information. Since I knew he was producing “Ninja Assassin” and no one knows much about it, I was so happy that he gave me some time.

But even though I got solid info on a number of things, the real highlight was finding out that Joel Silver and Shane “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” Black are making another movie together!!!! Joel said it’s called “The Nice Guys” and it’s another detective story!

Since I don’t want to spoil anymore of the interview…here it is. Look for a lot more ShoWest video interviews tonight and all weekend.

• I ask about the rating – he says it is PG
• I ask about Ninja Assassin and he says it’s a completely original story – he says it’s a “full on martial arts movie.” He also says it’s a revenge movie.
• And big news! He says he’s working again with Shane Black and that Shane is writing a script called “The Nice Guys” and it’s another detective story!
