ENTERTAINMENT INTERVIEWS
Woody Harrelson and Chris Parnell Exclusive Video Interview – THE GRAND
3/21/2008

I need to start this video interview off by saying I’m sorry. I thought I’d posted all the video interviews for “The Grand” and it was only due to someone emailing me that I realized they weren’t online. As you all know, I’m quite good at posting things on time…this isn’t going to happen again.

Anyhow, now that the apology is taken care of…let’s get to the reason you’re here.

Opening today in limited release is director Zak Penn’s improvisational comedy “The Grand.” The film is in the tradition of “Best in Show” and “This is Spinal Tap,” except it's set in the world of professional poker and it follows six players who reach the final table of the world’s second most famous high stakes tournament, the Grand Championship of Poker. The film is loaded with great actors like Woody Harrelson, David Cross, Dennis Farina, Cheryl Hines, Richard Kind, Chris Parnell, Ray Romano, and Zak even got director Werner Herzog and sitcom vet Gabe Kaplan (“Welcome Back Kotter”) to be in it. When you watch the film, I promise you’ll laugh when you see Werner playing "The German."

Anyway, I was able to interview a number of people in the film and posted below is the video interview with Woody and Chris. As usual, I listed what we talked about above the interview. And for fans of “30 Rock,” Chris said he’ll be on an upcoming episode as Dr. Leo!

Finally, if you want to watch some movie clips from “The Grand” you can watch them here, and if you missed my video interview with Director Zak Penn click here.

Woody Harrelson and Chris Parnell

  • Watching the film it looked like they were having way too much fun so I ask them what was it like working in the improve world. They demonstrate the improve process.
  • Working with Werner Herzog
  • I ask Chris if he is doing any more 30 Rock episodes as Dr. Leo
  • Transiberian talk with Woody
  • And for the final question I ask if they were disappointed that the didn’t get to be in the I Fucked Ben Affleck video. Chris gives a very funny answer.

Collider video or audio content ... very cool stuff
