Neil Patrick Harris Exclusive Video Interview – HAROLD AND KUMAR Escape from Guantanamo Bay
4/21/2008

For fans of “Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle,” this Friday is a very big day. That’s because after years of wondering if they’d ever get a sequel to the 2004 comedy, this Friday they find out if Harold and Kumar actually made it to Amsterdam. But if you haven’t seen the first film don’t worry, I can happily report you can still watch the sequel and have a good time.

Here’s what you need to know: Harold and Kumar are two stoners that always manage to get into trouble. In the first film they had to deal with a raccoon, a racist officer, and a very horny Neil Patrick Harris. In the new film…actually, I’m not going to spoil the surprises. All you need to know is at the beginning of the film they try and go to Amsterdam. Since this is a Harold and Kumar movie, chaos ensues.

Anyway, to help promote the movie I got to interview John Cho (Harold) and Neil Patrick Harris. Below is the video interview with Neil and tomorrow I’ll post the one with John. As always, I listed what we talked about above the interview and if you missed the movie clips from “Escape from Guantanamo Bay,click here.

Finally, if you happened to catch the interviews I did for “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” you might see a familiar t-shirt on me. Since I only recently started putting myself on camera, I only now realized I have to wear different clothing for video interviews. Needless to say, this won’t happen again....

Neil Patrick Harris

  • We were joking around as the interview started…he asked what outlet I was with and I said it was a porn site.
  • I ask with all the Saw movies that come pout every Halloween, how is there not a Harold and Kumar movie every 4/20/08
  • Could there be a Harold and Kumar musical?
  • Neil tells me about a bet between Jason Segel and himself that involves $200,000 dollars. It’s about which movie does better
  • I ask how many people have tried to get him high
  • What was it like coming back to the character and playing himself
  • I ask what else he has coming up
