ENTERTAINMENT INTERVIEWS
Olivia Thirlby and Director Jonathan Levine – Exclusive Video Interviews – THE WACKNESS

I’m going to make this intro quick and easy.

“The Wackness” is one of the best films I’ve seen this year and it’s so much better than “Hancock,” that it’s a crime more of you won’t have a chance to check it out this weekend now that it’s playing in limited release.

The film has a voice and a spirit that doesn’t come along too often, and it’s filled with great performances across the board. Plus, there are so many funny moments that it’s perfect for a date or just to go with a bunch of friends. Trust me, everyone will relate to at least one of the characters on screen…as it’s a coming of age story that’s as real as anything I’ve seen in a long time.

If you haven’t heard of “The Wackness” yet…click here to read about it and to watch some movie clips. Hopefully my words will convince you to take a chance on something you may not have heard of.

Anyway, I recently interviewed writer/director Jonathan Levine and Olivia Thirlby and the interviews are below. Both of them have a lot to say and I think you’ll enjoy both interviews. And if you missed the Sir Ben Kingsley and Josh Peck interviews, click here.

Finally, if you want to watch a few other interviews for the film, here are some links to the ones I did at this year’s Sundance Film Festival - Josh Peck and Method ManSir Ben Kingsley and writer/director Jonathan Levine.

Again, "The Wackness" is now playing in limited release and it'll be expanding in the coming weeks. Go check it out. You'll love it.

Jonathan Levine

  • When he looks back on Sundance, what was that experience like
  • Talks about how he is like the main character
  • Did he do the haircut for today’s junket?
  • We talk about the music in the film
  • What else are they doing on the web
  • Says he is working on a spy novel adaptation for Sony and says it’s going to be like Bourne Identity on Acid.

Collider video or audio content ... very cool stuff

Olivia Thirlby

  • What was Sundance like for her
  • She talked about watching all the movies after she was done promoting
  • What was it about the script that made her want to play the part
  • True or not true: Sir Ben makes you watch Gandhi before working with him
  • She talks about first meeting Sir Ben and working with him
  • She talks about her upcoming films and how she’s working with Brett Ratner
