Rumer Willis, Emma Stone and Katharine McPhee Exclusive Video Interview – THE HOUSE BUNNY

I’m going to tell you something shocking. It’s probably something you won’t believe….I really liked “The House Bunny.” While it’s clearly “Revenge of the Nerds” for girls, Anna Farris is so good as Shelley Darlington, a Playboy Bunny who teaches an awkward sorority about the opposite sex….that I couldn’t help but get pulled into the movie and laugh a lot. Seriously…it’s much better than you think.

Anyhow, let’s get to why you’re here.

A few weeks ago, I was able to interview Rumer Willis, Emma Stone and Katharine McPhee as a reporter for Omelete. As most of you know, Omelete and Collider are partners; it’s why you see the Omelete logo in all our videos. Anyway, when they were offered a TV spot for this junket…they sent me.

During my time with these lovely ladies, we spoke about all the usual stuff and we even talked about Guitar Hero and Rock Band. I’ll admit, it’s a subject I’m very familiar with. And in case you’re wondering how I worked in video games…on a lot of movie sets, the actors have the games as it’s something to do while killing time waiting for the next shot. Trust me; a lot of people are playing…

Finally, before getting to the interview, here’s the official synopsis in case you want to know more about the film. “The House Bunny” opens this weekend at theaters everywhere.

Shelley Darlington (Anna Faris) has lived at the Playboy mansion for the last nine years. She is Hef's favorite and acts like a den mother to the other girls. On her birthday, she is unceremoniously evicted from Hef's pad for 'being too old.' With nowhere to go, fate delivers her to the sorority girls from Zeta Alpha Zeta. Unless they can sign a new pledge class, the seven socially clueless women will lose their house to the scheming girls of Phi Iota Mu. In order to accomplish their goal, they need Shelley to teach them the ways of makeup and men; at the same time, Shelley needs some of what the Zetas have – a sense of individuality. The combination leads all the girls to learn how to stop pretending and start being themselves.

Rumer Willis, Emma Stone and Katharine McPhee

  • Since Kat Dennings wasn’t at the press day, I ask if it’s true that she wanted to do her own press day (it’s a joke)
  • I ask what making the film was like as it really looked like they were having a fun time
  • With the popularity of Guitar Hero and Rock Band on movie sets, I ask if they played while on set
  • How are they like or dislike their characters
