Is Mark Forster directing the next James Bond?

I’m in Hawaii right now for the Surf’s Up junket and I was about to leave for the premiere when I got sent some info on the new James Bond movie.

A source who I’ve worked with in the past and who has been very solid has notified me that there is a short list of directors for the next James Bond. It seems the Producers have in mind Tony Scott (Man on Fire, Domino), Alex Proyas (I Robot, Dark City) and Mark Forster (Finding Neverland), and at this point it looks like the front runner to direct is Mark Forster. It also seems that a deal may already be in the works.

While I cannot confirm this report, it’s again coming from a great source that I trust. Obviously I’ll write more as I hear it but I figured you want to hear the rumor.

Look for some great interviews on Surf’s Up in the coming days.
