One Year Until WATCHMEN

In exactly one year from today, Zack Snyder will finally do what other directors were unable to for over two decades and put Alan Moore's "Watchmen" on the big screen. It's a seminal comic and one that will be held to a much higher standard than "300".  That's not to say that people didn't care about that film or that it didn't deserve its success.  But within the realm of comic books, "Watchmen" is one of the treasures of the format and that translates to a community that's anxious to see how the graphic novel translates to film.

While that rat-bastard Frosty actually got to visit the set, he can't tell any of us about what he saw or learned because he signed a non-disclosure agreement which states that should he break his silence, Snyder will come to his home and murder him with a claw hammer (there's a lot of legalese but that's the gist of it).  But to help tide us over, Snyder has been good enough to let us get our first glimpse at how these characters will be realized in the film.  We've seen glimpses of Rorschach, but now we see Comedian (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Nite Owl (Patrick Wilson), Ozymandias (Matthew Goode), and Silk Specter II (Malin Akerman).

Click for bigness and try not to think that you have to wait a year to see this film:
