Curtis Hanson May Direct Disney's GEMINI MAN

It's hard to keep track of everything that producer Jerry Bruckheimer has got going on.  Seriously, the guy is an industry unto himself.  What with all the robot flicks and super-sciencey TV shows, some of Bruckheimer's projects just slip through the cracks... by which I mean that I have never heard of them.

Such is the case with one movie that has apparently been stuck in development hell for nearly 10 years called "Gemini Man".  The film about an older NSA agent that is targeted for assassination by a younger, cloned version of himself, has gone through many incarnations through the years - including one script from "Armageddon" writer Jonathan Hensleigh.

Though all this "Gemini Man" business is news to me, it looks like I will be forced to pay more attention now that it looks like the movie may get moving again at Disney Studios.  Variety is reporting that director Curtis Hanson of "LA Confidential" fame is considering taking over the film - something I'm sure they wouldn't tease about.

This all sounds good to me.  Not only do I love "LA Confidential" but I am also one of the only people I know who liked that other big cloning-assassin movie "The 6th Day".  I didn't say that the movie made sense, mind you, I only said that I liked it.
