One of the things that’s cool about ShoWest is the convention floor. On display are all the latest and greatest toys for movie theaters to buy – ranging from new projectors and bulbs, to the way people buy their popcorn and soda.

While all the toys are cool, the thing that always gets me excited to see are seeing the ways the movie studios tie their upcoming films to popcorn and soda. After all, there is no better way to get noticed than by having a huge “Star Trek” cast photo on the side of the popcorn container, or having images of the cast of “Land of the Lost” on your soda.

So while walking around the convention floor, I snapped photos of as many items as I could find that tied into this summer’s movies. I found cool stuff for “Star Trek”, “Land of the Lost” and “Transformers Revenge of the Fallen”. The only thing to mention is…I don’t know when any of these items will be in a movie theater, so know that while looking. Also, I have no idea what’s up with the “Star Trek” pins…

Expect more image articles while the convention is going on. And you can follow me on Twitter here.

Thanks for the pics, Frosty!
Those little Transformers figures look awesome.. hopefully they detach from the lids though. I wonder what all those pins are for as well. Would be kind of neat if the theater ...
