X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE Finished Film Is The Same As Workprint

After the leaked-workprint fiasco for "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", Fox has been trying to say that scenes have been altered, removed, and new work included so that if you think you saw the film, you really didn't.

Except according to talkbacker Vertias on AICN, you did.  Barring the effects work (which Veritas says is pretty poor), the two versions are the exact same and Fox is just scrambling to make sure that people who downloaded the film will come out to buy a ticket.  Vertias, despite his name, also apparently has no consideration for signed NDAs, but whatever.  He continues with a brief review of the film saying that it's carried by its action and not characters or story and will never be up there with comic book movies like "Iron Man", "The Dark Knight", and "Watchmen".

Of course, I'm more humored by the online relationship dynamic at play here than I am in the film (I can form my own opinion when I see it next week and I haven't viewed the workprint and probably never will).  Back when we posted our controversial article about the re-shoots, Fox quickly responding by having Hugh Jackman dispatch an open letter to AICN and then bless them with a fresh publicity photo for the film.  AICN then repays the favor by having a random guy break his NDA to talk about the film.

Click here to read AICN.  "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" hits theatres on May 1st.
