The only name that people may recognize above the title of "District 9" is Peter Jackson's.  While no single actor (with perhaps the exception of Will Smith) has the power to open a movie these days, stars still matter because they're the easiest way to draw in theatergoers to properties that aren't adaptations of previously successful material. 

And yet I think "District 9" may end up being this year's "28 Days Later".  With some skillful marketing that entices and intrigues without divulging too much, I think "District 9" is poised to be a sleeper hit and this poster, coupled with the recent trailer, is definitely going to turn some heads and put this on people's radars.
