But since it’s playing in so few theaters, not many of you have seen the film and these clips might inspire you to check it out. And trust me, this is a great movie and one that’s deserving of your time and money.

Actually I was just talking to a friend and one of the things that came up was how many great films have been released this year (and it’s not even October). And of those great films that I’ve seen, “The Assassination of Jesse James” is near the top of my list, with the best cinematography of the year so far.

Anyway, it also has some nobody actor named Brad Pitt and a star in the making performance by Casey Affleck. Here’s the synopsis and the clips. If the film plays where you live check it out. 

“The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” delves into the private life and public exploits of America’s most notorious outlaw. As the charismatic and unpredictable Jesse James (Brad Pitt) plans his next great robbery, he wages war on his enemies, who are trying to collect the reward money – and the glory – riding on his capture. But the greatest threat to his life may ultimately come from those he trusts the most.
