Opening on November 23rd is “Starting Out in the Evening,” a movie about a 70-year-old novelist, played by Frank Langella, who has been working on his latest book for years. When a brash graduate student (Lauren Ambrose) enters his world to work on her thesis, he slowly starts to emerge from behind his protective wall. At the same time, his daughter (Lili Taylor) is nearing 40 and wants to start her own family. She's decided to get back with her ex-boyfriend (Adrian Lester), a man her father strongly disapproves of.

The film takes place in New York City and makes great use of the restaurants and small apartments to tell the story of these three individuals. Also, all of the actors give great performances, with special mention to Frank Langella, who absolutely disappears into the character of Leonard. I really enjoyed the movie and recommend checking it out.

So to help promote the film, I’ve been given 6 clips and the trailer. I also interviewed Frank Langella recently and I’ll be posting the interview in the coming days. “Starting Out in the Evening” opens in limited release on November 23rd.
