Akiva Goldsman Talks Comic Book Movies

While “I Am Legend” opening here in the states a number of weeks ago, it’s just getting ready to premiere in Brazil. Since Alice Braga, one of the stars of the movie, was born in Brazil and her character is from Sao Paolo, the studio decided to do a junket in the country. And since Collider’s partner Omelete is based in Sao Paolo…guess who got to attend the press day.
Anyway, the boys of Omelete landed some exclusive interviews with a number of people, and this one is with Akiva Goldsman – one of the producers of "I Am Legend" and one of the biggest screenwriters working in Hollywood.
While I don’t have a full transcript yet, here’s what he said about the comic book movies he’s currently involved with.
In the Small - "It’s a real project, but no script yet"
The Losers - "The Losers is a very good script. I don’t know when it will start, but the script is really good"
Teen Titans - "... I have a strong impression that this movie will be delayed for a while, since they´re doing the Justice League movie - and these heroes are basically young versions of the JLA ones."
Doom Patrol - "Doom Patrol probably won't happen. It’s too hard to get it right. It’s a complicated project".
