Anyway, the boys of Omelete landed some exclusive interviews with a number of people, and after talking with both Will Smith and director Francis Lawrence, they managed to get some juicy info.

Will Smith confirmed to Omelete that Spielberg approached him to do "Chicago 7." Actually, according to Smith, Spielberg asked him to leave some free space in his schedule - when the script is ready, Smith will receive it.

He said, "When Steve is ready he will send it. I don’t know specifics, story, anything, but he told me the filming dates, so I can be free to do it. It’s not a 100% sure thing yet, but I’m confident."

And after speaking with Will, Francis Lawrence revealed to them that there’s a whole different ending ready for “I Am Legend” and that they’re going to use it on the second DVD release. Will Smith also said that one of the teasers has 6 seconds of footage of that alternative ending - which is "less commercial."
