TWILIGHT Fans Get Ready

For millions of people that haven’t yet heard the rumbling, there is a movie hitting theaters this December that might be a huge surprise hit. The film’s called “Twilight,” and it’s based on the popular book with the same name.
Since I haven’t yet read the book…here’s a very brief synopsis:
"Twilight" tells the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a pale, mysterious classmate who seems determined to push her away. But neither can deny the attraction that pulls them together... even when Edward confides that he and his family are vampires. Their unorthodox romance puts her in physical danger when Edward's nemesis comes to town and sets his sights on Bella.
All you really need to know is…“Twilight” has a very large and vocal fanbase. In fact, when Summit Entertainment bought the rights to the movie and began production, I wonder if they realized how big and vocal they really were. I’ve actually heard some pretty crazy stories from when they were filming the movie, about die-hard fans watching from the sidelines and not leaving production for days at a time. Not even "Harry Potter" fans are that serious.
Anyway, while many of you might not know about the film yet, that’s going to change on May 9th. The reason is, that’s the day the teaser trailer hits movie theaters as it’s supposed to ship with every print of “Speed Racer.”
I’ve heard that the trailer ships in the can. That means it’s not attached to the print, but when a trailer ships in the can it usually means the studio wants it played with the movie. However, a theater may decide not to. The rules of the game for trailers are like this…if a trailer ships attached to a print it means it has to play with the movie. If it ships in the can, it’s strongly suggested that it plays…but it’s not mandatory.
With the teaser set to play in front of “Speed Racer,” that probably means it'll be online a few days before or right around that time. That also means millions of “Twilight” fans are about to see their first footage from the film. I’m sure they’re going to start counting the days.
