While many fans of the series are probably losing their minds as the first of their beloved series is getting ready to hit theaters this fall, I have to say I’m not a fan of the image at all. Personally, I think it looks like some photo editor was wasted and decided to use a very heavy hand while editing the image.

Seriously, this image could be a comic book or graphic novel cover…it just doesn’t feel real to me. Of course I should say I haven’t read the series, so perhaps this is the way the characters are supposed to look.

Unfortunately, while the production was upset early test shots leaked, I thought they looked much better than this. Needless to say, this is only the first image and I probably shouldn’t judge the film based solely on one thing. With the teaser trailer set for release, I think everyone will have a better idea what Summit is going for quite soon. Let the flame mail begin.
