New WALL-E Movie Images

While all the big budget Hollywood blockbusters are getting most of the attention, something that’s still under the radar is the new Pixar movie “Wall-E.” And…that’s kind of surprising, considering the companies track record of non-stop box office hits.

Perhaps we’ve just lost sight of how hard making a great movie is…and we’ve almost taken it for granted. Or, perhaps the new movie is just a harder sell as it deals with what human’s are currently doing to the planet.

If you aren’t familiar with the movie, “Wall-E” is the new film from Andrew Stanton (“Finding Nemo”) and it’s about a robot named Wall-E. Here’s the synopsis:

After hundreds of lonely years doing what he was built for, WALL•E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE.  EVE comes to realize that WALL•E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet’s future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home).  Meanwhile, WALL•E chases EVE across the galaxy and sets into motion one of the most incredible comedy adventures ever brought to the big screen.

The rumor is the first third takes place on Earth and it’s almost silent – except for the noises Wall-E makes and what he interacts with. For any movie that might be difficult, but add to the mix that’s it’s animated and aimed at kids…all you can say is wow.

Personally, I want to see this movie as much as I want to see anything this summer. And I really want to see how this silent aspect is handled.

Anyway, a reader named Jason just sent me a few new high resolution images from the film and they look great. For a better quality version just click on the image.
