TWILIGHT Teaser Trailer
5/5/2008

Last week I reported the “Twilight” teaser trailer would be shipping with prints of “Speed Racer” and it’d be up to the theater as to whether or not they played it. You cannot believe how many people thought I was making it up or my info was wrong.

Seriously, I got way more emails than I expected saying I’d fallen victim to false internet chatter, or people had told me bad info. But, since I’d double sourced my info, I kind of thought I was right. And with the posting of the teaser trailer online today…needless to say…I think it’s safe to assume it’ll be playing on selected prints of “Speed Racer” this weekend.

Anyway, let’s move onto the teaser trailer.

I have to say after watching the footage I’m kind of excited for the movie. Granted, the acting isn’t all that…but the effects look solid and with the popularity of the books, the story has to be at least above average. Also, that first image they released last week was awful…and this teaser takes the bad taste out of my mouth.

If you haven’t heard of “Twilight” yet…

Based on the Stephenie Meyer book, the Catherine Hardwicke-directed romantic thriller is coming to theaters on December 12. The film tells the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, and becomes drawn to Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a pale, mysterious classmate who seems determined to push her away. But neither can deny the attraction that pulls them together... even when Edward confides that he and his family are vampires. Their unorthodox romance puts her in physical danger when Edward's nemesis comes to town and sets his sights on Bella.

Anyhow, here's the trailer. For HD go here. Expect a lot more "Twilight" coverage as info gets released.

Collider video or audio content ... very cool stuff
