About a month ago we posted the teaser trailer for the upcoming Fernando Meirelles ("City of God", "The Constant Gardener") movie “Blindness.” But due to Fernando wanting a few tweaks to the teaser, we’ve been given a new version and it’s below. If you’re curious, the coloring and the ending message are a bit different.

If you haven’t heard, “Blindness” has been chosen to open Cannes and that’s not a small thing. The opening night film is a big deal and I couldn’t be happier for Fernando, as he’s an excellent filmmaker and someone that tackles many difficult issues.

And for those not familiar with the story, the movie is based on the novel by Nobel Prize winning author José Saramago and it’s what happens when a sudden plague of blindness devastates a city. After it happens, a small group of the afflicted band together to overcome the horrific conditions of their imposed quarantine. The movie stars Julianne Moore, Gael García Bernal, Mark Ruffalo, Sandra Oh, Danny Glover and Alice Braga.
