Joseph Gordon-Levitt in 500 DAYS OF SUMMER

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, former child star and current Hollywood hot property, has just signed on to star in an "anti-romantic comedy" from Fox Searchlight Pictures. The film "500 Days of Summer" will be directed by music video vet Mark Webb and written by the same guys who are scripting the "Pink Panther" sequel – I know, I know – who thought making "Pink Panther 2" was a good idea?
In "500 Days," Gordon-Levitt will play a man (that's right, he's old enough to play men now) who falls deeply in love with a woman (Deschanel) who does not believe that love exists. And then shenanigans ensue, one assumes.
I just can't get over the fact that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is all grown up and playing romantic leads now. He will always be the beautiful boy from "3rd Rock" to me - Or the bad ass teen from "Brick" at the very least. Gordon-Levitt was most recently seen in "Stop Loss" and will play Cobra Commander in the upcoming "GI Joe" flick – he is also rumored to be a part of the live-action adaptation of the "Citizen Kane" of anime films "Akira," but that is still just a rumor so don't spread it around.
'500 days of Summer' is also the name of Al Gore's next documentary here.
