Hollywood Reporter has Ray Liotta slated for the upcoming comedy "Youth in Revolt" from "Chuck and Buck" director Miguel Arteta.

The film features Michael Cera as Nick Twisp, a horny teen growing up in a trailer park. Liotta will play Lance Wescott, a cop who has an affair with Nick's mom (Jean Smart) before deciding to get revenge on her by ruining Nick's life.

C.D. Payne, the 1993 novel's original author, also wrote several follow-up novels including, "Revolting Youth", "Young and Revolting" and "Revoltingly Young" before running out of variations in 2006. An adaptation has been in-development for some time, first as an unaired tv pilot in the late 90's.

Production on "Youth in Revolt" begins this July.
