Watch the International Trailer for THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL

I’ll admit to being a big Keanu Reeves fan when he does sci-fi. The Matrix, Constantine, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure…all great movies.

And based on the box office results for his sci-fi adventures, I’m not alone in thinking that way.

So…with Keanu starring in an update of the 1951 classic The Day the Earth Stood Still, I’ll admit to really wanting to check it out. In the film Keanu plays Klaatu, a being from another world that warns humanity is doomed for the way they treat the planet. According to the synopsis, he tells them that “unless they change their gluttonous and harmful ways and pay more attention to the planet’s needs, aliens will swoop down and destroy them for good.”

Think The Happening…except it’ll be better.

Anyway, the international trailer has just been released and it’s below courtesy of filmweb.no. And just like his other sci-fi movies, this one looks like it has a lot of potential to be great. Check it out.

Collider video or audio content ... very cool stuff
