Tarantino is Stalking Two Blonde BASTARDS

Daily Variety is reporting that Quentin Tarantino is interested in casting Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio for his long-nurtured WWII remake "Inglorious Bastards." The director met with Pitt on Tuesday in France and is scheduled to talk with Leo this Thursday.

Brad Pitt is up for the role of Lieutenant Aldo Raine, leader of the Inglorious Bastards who hunt down and kill Nazis. That Tarantino was interested in Pitt for the role is not really a surprise – Brad was given a copy of the script before most of the studios and potential investors that The Weinstein Company is courting had a chance to mull it over. Plus, the fact that the proud new papa made time to leave that French maternity ward to talk with Tarantino would indicate that he liked what he read.

As for DiCaprio, Variety has him pegged for the part of Nazi Hans Landa. He is the guy responsible for hunting down Jews hiding in the French countryside (or so Fidel's script review tells me). Of course this is all just speculation at this point, but what would the internet be without baseless movie speculation, right?

I am not linking to the Variety story, to find out why read this.
