New TWILIGHT Trailer
7/17/2008

Some days are quiet and you struggle with finding things to post. That is not Thursday, July 17th.

Already we’ve posted tons of new trailers for huge movies…so it should come as no surprise that Summit Entertainment chose today to launch the second “Twilight” trailer.

While I still don’t understand all the fuss over this vampire saga, I’m clearly in the minority, as there are millions of fans worldwide and they’re all ravenous for anything new about the movie.

So that makes next week’s Comic-Con appearance by all the cast members and author Stephenie Meyer a huge event. After all, this is the first time the group will be speaking to the fans directly and also showing new footage from the movie. I cannot imagine how crowded Hall H will be for Thursday’s panel. If you’re going…I’d get there VERY early.

Anyway, about that trailer.

After watching it looks more and more like a major chick flick. Sorry, I don’t see groups of guys rushing to see this like they would a big action flick or even a drama. This will be a girls night out and it’ll also be a big date movie.

But...maybe I’m wrong.

Perhaps millions of men will become enchanted with “Twilight.”

Either way, the film is going to be huge, even if the only people who see it are women. After all, "Sex and the City" broke 100 million and I don't know anyone guy friend that saw it. So "Twilight" should easily make back it’s 40 million dollar budget. And with that…enjoy the new trailer.  I expect nasty emails to flood my inbox starting now...
