2 Movie Clips and a Featurette - The X-FILES: I Want to Believe

As most of you know, I usually write my thoughts on a movie when posting clips or interviews. But while I’ve seen “The X-Files: I Want to Believe,” I’m under a serious embargo, so I can’t write one word about what I thought. And it’s not one of those I’ll write a line or two and skirt the issue…I mean I can’t say a word.

The only reason a number of us saw the film last night is the press junket took place earlier today and you usually get to see the film before doing interviews. Look for transcripts with David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz in the next few days.

So until those get posted…20th Century Fox has provided me with 2 movie clips and a featurette for the film. Hopefully that will tide you over.

Finally, while they haven’t exactly released a synopsis as they’re trying to keep the story secret…here’s what I have…

In grand The X-Files tradition, the film's storyline is being kept under wraps, known only to top studio brass and the project's principal actors and filmmakers. This much can be revealed: The supernatural thriller is a stand-alone story in the tradition of some of the show's most acclaimed and beloved episodes, and takes the always-complicated relationship between Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) in unexpected directions. Mulder continues his unshakable quest for the truth, and Scully, the passionate, ferociously intelligent physician, remains inextricably tied to Mulder's pursuits.

Again, “The X-Files: I Want to Believe” opens this Friday.
