The latest "Watchmen" video blog is out and this one is all about building the Owl Ship. We get director Zack Snyder describing the book's iconic craft as a cross between an egg and an owl… I think he also throws a Batmobile allusion in there. As with all the previous "Watchmen" journals, this piece is just a little tide-me-over until March 2009 – which still seems like a long way off. Then again, a "Watchmen" movie has been a long time coming…

My favorite part of this journal? Watching Snyder float a mini Owl Ship in front of a building mock-up – the guy is even thoughtful enough to add his own sound effects. Then, look carefully at the control panel of the full-sized Owl Ship. Right there in the center – I could swear that the ship has some sort of penis launcher. I'm not kidding. The button lights up and there it is – bombs away men.
