BJ Novak May Be Tarantino's Latest BASTARD

Everyone knows that office politics are tricky – but bashing Nazi's trumps dealing with human resources any day - as "The Office" star BJ Novak is about to learn. Novak may be trading in his desk at Dunder Mifflin for a role in director Quentin Tarantino's WW II epic "Inglorious Bastards."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Novak (who plays Ryan the Temp on NBC's Emmy-winning comedy) is in advanced talks with Tarantino to play Private First Class Utivitch – described as a New York-born soldier with a 'slight build.' Read: Utivitch is the skinny guy with the funny accent.

The Novak news comes just hours after Tarantino hired fellow director Eli Roth ("Hostel") to join the cast of "Bastards" as a bat-wielding Nazi fighter. Something tells me that we are going to be posting these stories pretty steady for the next few weeks. "Inglorious Bastards" is a big movie, with lots of roles to fill and lots of horror directors, TV comics and bi-polar pop princesses to fill them.
